Rabbit Hutch/Playhouse Building Workshop

Costs: $45 per child, $10 for accompanying parent or any other family member who wants to join in

Length of Time: 10am - 3pm

Class Description

A kids building workshop, parents are welcome too. We will be constructing a small playhouse that we will be using to house the camps rabbits, kid friendly so that they can get to the rabbits to interact with them.

Topics to be included:

• Proper use, safety, and care of carpenters tool.
• How to use measuring devices, measure twice - cut once.
• Basic design information, how to get the most from your lumber.
• Wood types for this project.
• Assembly of the structure, hand on for the kids to nail.
• How to make and mount a door - hinges.
• Roofing the house, shingle laying.
• Trimming
• Painting to complete, hands on for the kids to paint.

Like all our Construction Workshops, "Safety" comes first, so bring your own safety glasses and gloves.

Bring your own lunch. If you have access to a hammer, bring that too!

Age : Open to all. Those children under 10 years of age MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Hope you'll join us to construct the camp rabbit's new home, while learning to build your own playhouse for you or your pets.

We have a swimming pond and outdoor showers, so bring provisions to enjoy.

NOTE : All classes have a minimum number of registrants to make or sorry to say it will be cancelled. So bring your friends and tell everyone you know. Some classes are listed but are not currently on the schedule for the upcoming year. If your group has an interest we can schedule a date for you.
